The Brookline Education Foundation is pleased to announce a new speaker series, Equity in Education. This series will highlight the BEF’s work to support equity in education and expand the conversation about how the Public Schools of Brookline can better meet the needs of its diverse student body.
The first FREE webinar event is Thursday, February 25th at 7:30 pm, and will showcase the work of SEED (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity) grants. The BEF has funded six teachers to take the SEED training so far, and we are thrilled to welcome five of those teachers to speak about their experiences with the training and its impact on their colleagues, their classrooms, and their schools.
Panelists will be Julie Boss, K-5 Math Specialist; J. Malcolm Cawthorne, BHS Social Studies Teacher, and BHS METCO Coordinator; Lindsay Davis, BHS World Language Teacher; Kara Lopez, BHS Guidance Counselor; Hilory Rosenzweig, K-5 Math Specialist
