The Jay K. Kochi Fund, established by a generous donation from the Kochi Family Foundation, sponsors professional development in the subject areas of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). The focus has been on supporting educators in Project-Based Learning and Design Thinking. This funding has allowed Brookline teachers and administrators to participate in trainings and workshops focusing on developing curriculum that addresses real-world problems, often by incorporating several subject areas at once, and in designing and evaluating interdisciplinary projects in the classroom.
