I moved to the US from Bulgaria when I was 17. I have been living in Brookline since 2006. I have a third grader at Florida Ruffin Ridley and will also have a kindergartener there next fall. I enjoy travelling and exploring different cultures and cuisines. I love music and try to take every opportunity to attend concerts. All genres are fair game, except for hip-hop.
I think that the professional development of teachers is of utmost importance and has a direct impact on our children. Enriching the teachers’ skill set contributes to a greater flexibility and ability to address the students’ individual and collective needs. I’d like to help the BEF in securing access to the resources that would expand the teachers’ skill set.
