Margaret Metzger (1945-2013) taught English at Brookline High School for over forty years, influencing thousands of students and educators through her teaching, writing, and mentoring. 5th Grade Spelling Bee

The 2019 Brookline Education Foundation 5th Grade Spelling Bee took place on Sunday, March 10, 2019. The first place winner in our March 2019 Spelling Bee was Owen Bergstein from Pierce School. The winning word was "supercilious." At the BEF, we always Celebrate Teachers, but unfortunately, due to the circumstances, we expect that this event will be canceled for this year. We look forward to Celebrating Teachers again in 2021!

Trivia Bee – Canceled

BEF Trivia Bee and Raffle Canceled Due to the COVID-19 closures and community safety measures, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this important fundraiser. We really had hoped that life will return to normal and we can all come together to celebrate our community and our teachers. Our goal was to raise over $100,000 at this event. Thanks to our generous Sponsors and amazing, trivia-hungry community, we had already raised over half of our goal.
