Honor A Teacher

"The BEF’s support of teachers is one of the strongest declarations that teachers are truly valued in the Brookline Public Schools. I am honored to be a member of this fine community." - 7/8 Language Arts teacher

Passionate, knowledgeable, skillful teachers help all students achieve their full potential. Thanks to donors like you, the BEF was able to fund programs and grants totaling more than $250,000 in the 2018-19 school year, including:

  • Two kindergarten teachers travelling to Finland to learn about the Finnish education system and share methods and strategies with colleagues when they return
  • Educators across grade levels and subject areas are going to workshops and conferences to learn best practices to share with their colleagues on subjects such as speeach and language pathology, teaching Latin, and special education lteaching strategies
  • Students, K-12, are creating and performing, with world-renowned composer, Jim Papoulis, new pieces of music, which will become part of the curriculum and repertoire of the Brookline schools

With your help, we hope to fund even more in the 2018-19 school year.

Please let the teachers, principals, coaches, aides, or other adults in your child’s life know how much you appreciate their hard work and their passion for teaching by giving a gift to the BEF in their name. We will notify the teacher/s you designate.  We know they will be honored by your special recognition.
