The Brookline Education Foundation will host the culminating reading for the Metzger Encore Fellowship, a writing program for experienced educators. The fellowship brings together six teachers who previously participated in the Margaret Metzger Writing Fellowship (Tracy Bare, Alexa Cuff, Paul Epstein, Evan Mousseau, Wan Wang, and Jon Weinberger), guiding them to craft polished essays about their professional work in schools. The BEF has five runners participating in this year's iconic Boston Marathon, raising funds for us as part of Team Brookline. We host a cheering station at Mile 24, on the corner of Beacon and St. Mary's - come down and help us cheer on our runners!

Often cited as BEF supporters' favorite event of the year, this gathering will celebrate the 2026 Margaret Metzger Fellows, honor Margaret's legacy of professional growth through personal written introspection, and hear each Fellow's essay crafted during and since their workshop time.
